Chris Bosh released from hospital, now resting at home
MIAMI — Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh was released from Baptist Health System Hospital on Friday and is resting at home following his diagnosis a week ago of blood clots on his lungs.
Head coach Erik Spoelstra made the announcement prior to Miami’s home game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.
"CB is out of the hospital, and he’s at home," he said. "He’s recovering and he’s starting to feel a little better. He’s definitely glad to be out of the hospital."
Bosh had been hospitalized since after the All-Streak break. Though first categorized as an illness, Bosh’s condition worsened and required medical attention and tests after he missed two practices.
"That was his first goal," Spoelstra said of Bosh leaving the hospital. "He’s been very anxious to get out of there. It was driving him nuts."
Bosh is expected to miss the rest of the season.
