Magic sign Dewayne Dedmon for rest of season

The Orlando Magic announced Monday that center Dewayne Dedmon has been signed for the remainder of the regular season and forward Adonis Thomas has been released.

Dedmon, a 7-footer who went undrafted last year out of USC, originally signed his first of two 10-day contracts on Feb. 25. He has appeared in three of a possible nine games with the Magic and has a total of seven points and three rebounds in six minutes. He also spent time earlier this season with the Golden State Warriors and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Thomas, like Dedmon, was signed by the Magic from the NBA Development League. He was on their inactive list for their last two games. In the four games in which he played, Thomas had a total of seven points and three rebounds in 24 minutes.

The Magic’s roster now stands at 13 players going into Tuesday night’s game at Golden State.
