The Jacksonville Jaguars, who are scheduled to have the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL draft and 10 selections overall, will have more of an opportunity than usual to evaluate prospects first-hand.

Coach Gus Bradley and his staff were chosen Thursday to lead the South team in the annual Senior Bowl. This year’s game takes place Jan. 25 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

Bradley said Tuesday he knew that tight ends coach Ron Middleton and running backs coach Terry Richardson were contacted by Senior Bowl representatives. The entire staff being on hand will mark the first time since 2009, when Jack Del Rio was still coach of the Jaguars, that the organization has been chosen for the game.

"It’s a great evaluation tool," Bradley said. "It’s maybe better for us as coaches instead of sitting in our rooms watching tape over and over again. We can evaluate all aspects of the game. I don’t want to make a habit of it. But as long as we have this opportunity, we need to take advantage of it."

The first Senior Bowl practice is scheduled for Jan. 20.
