FOX’s Sun Sports to premiere “Inside the Heat: Ray Allen

(FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.) — On Wednesday, January 30, 2013, Sun Sports will premiere “Inside the HEAT: Ray Allen,” upon the conclusion of the Miami HEAT vs. Brooklyn Nets game.
“Inside the HEAT: Ray Allen” will take HEAT fans through the life of the legendary NBA Star and all-time 3 point leader. Hosted by Eric Reid, the show will take HEAT fans through Allen’s childhood and how growing up in a military family enabled him to experience many different cultures. From living on numerous air force bases, to playing high school basketball in South Carolina where he led his team to a state championship, Allen’s story is his own. The show will also touch upon Allen’s college career at the University of Connecticut, where legendary coach Jim Calhoun taught him the importance of working hard to become a great player.
The show will then take fans through Allen’s illustrious NBA career, which began with the Milwaukee Bucks and continued for nearly 7 seasons before he was traded to the Seattle SuperSonics. Allen then moved to Boston to win not only his first NBA championship, but would also break Reggie Miller’s record for all-time NBA leader in 3-pointers made. Finally, HEAT fans will see how his decision to join Miami was not only for himself but also for his family, and even though his role on the court has changed, he is still a very important piece to the HEAT team on and off the court.
