‘Rays Season Preview’ debuts before Tampa Bay’s intrasquad scrimmage on FOX Sports Sun

TAMPA, Fla. (July 20, 2020) ― Live Tampa Bay Rays baseball returns to FOX Sports Sun tomorrow, July 21 at 6 p.m. with the team’s intrasquad scrimmage, but before first pitch, viewers statewide are welcomed to tune in at 5:30 p.m. for the “Rays Season Preview.” Hosted by Tricia Whitaker, the all-new episode brings Rays fans up to speed on the latest with the team ahead of Opening Day on July 24.

Manager Kevin Cash, infielder Willy Adames and pitchers Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow all spoke with Tricia via Streamyard on topics ranging from the 60 game schedule and the new rule changes, to what their expectations are on the field in 2020. The episode also features a roundtable with Kevin Kiermaier, Joey Wendle and Nick Anderson where the players discussed how celebrating will be different and what cardboard cutout fan they would want in the stands.

Additional players spotlighted in the show include Opening Day starter Charlie Morton, catcher Mike Zunino and pitcher Ryan Yarbrough, as well as hitting coach Chad Mottola. FOX Sports Sun analysts Brian Anderson, Orestes Destrade and Doug Waechter cap the episode with an in-depth discussion where they touched upon their excitement and predictions for the Rays this season.
