News and Analysis
The Cardinals signed Brown (knee) to a one-year extension through the 2017 season Wednesday, Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports.

Impact: Due to uncertainty at wide receiver behind Larry Fitzgerald to start the campaign, Brown was able to make inroads in the offense, receiving between two and six targets in each of the Cardinals' first six games. Brown's 11 receptions went for a clip of 17.0 YPC, and he even reached the end zone during a Week 2 demolition of the Buccaneers. The decision to play on an ailing knee eventually reared its head in Week 7, when he was lost for the season due to a torn ACL. After re-signing with Arizona, he'll provide insurance in the event that unrestricted free-agent wideout Michael Floyd is allowed to walk in the offseason.
