5 Things to Watch:

Here are the three highest over/unders for Monday, provided by OddsShark

Games

O/U

COL/ARI

10.5

BAL/BOS

9.5

MIN/DET

9.5

2. Jose Fernandez is your highest priced pitcher ($13,000) and also a road favorite (-140) against the Braves. Surprisingly, Anibal Sanchez of Detroit is your biggest favorite (-171) against the Twins.

3. There are a whopping five starting pitchers on tonight’s slate priced under $5000. The Tigers, Pirates and Mariners are all in play as stacks.

4. Weather should be clear, but check Twitter for updates before first pitch.

5. For the BvP readers: Marcell Ozuna is 14-for-33 against Julio Teheran lifetime. Chris Davis has 3 HR in 29 at-bats against Rick Porcello. J.J. Hardy is 9-for-22 against Rick Porcello. David Ortiz is 8-for-18 with 2 HR against Kevin Gausman.

Must-Start of the day: Jose Fernandez, MIA

Whenever he pitches, Fernandez has the highest strikeout potential of anyone on the board. Fernandez is up to 238 in 167 IP this year and gets a matchup with a Braves lineup that’s last in the league in OPS. Get him going.

Deal of the day: Steven Brault, PIT

Brault has looked good in his five starts this year, keeping a low ERA (3.38) and totaling 19 strikeouts in 24 innings. He should be allowed to go a little deeper in this one, and with a matchup against a bad Phillies team, Brault should easily provide value at just $4500.

Avoid of the day: Albert Pujols, LAA

He’s just 8-for-51 (.157) against Hisashi Iwakuma lifetime.

Stack of the day: Detroit Tigers

Tyler Duffey owns a whopping 6.13 ERA over 120 innings this year, and over his last ten games, he has a 6.94 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and .311 BAA. He’s a disaster, and the Tigers should be able to rack up the runs against him in this one.

Starting pitchers:

Jose Fernandez, MIA: "Must-start of the day"

Hisashi Iwakuma, SEA: He tends to pitch well against the Angels, particularly against Albert Pujols and Mike Trout. Iwakuma is a solid, cheap mid-range option who can pitch deep into games and has a juicy matchup against Jhoulys Chacin.

Steven Brault, PIT: "Deal of the day"

Catchers:

Nick Hundley, COL: .932 OPS over his last ten games.

Jonathan Lucroy, TEX: .290 average over the last ten games.

First basemen:

Chris Davis, BAL: Chris Davis has 3 HR in 29 at-bats against Rick Porcello.

David Ortiz, BOS: David Ortiz is 8-for-18 with 2 HR against Kevin Gausman.

Second basemen:

Ian Kinsler, DET: Tigers stack.

Rougned Odor, TEX: .997 OPS over his last ten games.

Third basemen:

Jake Lamb, ARI: Should be a high-scoring game and Lamb owns a 1.036 OPS over his last ten games.

Kyle Seager, SEA: Great matchup and owns a .917 OPS over his last ten.

Shortstops:

J.J. Hardy, BAL: J.J. Hardy is 9-for-22 against Rick Porcello.

Jonathan Villar, MIL: 5 HR in his last ten games and 54 SB on the year.

Outfielders:

Marcell Ozuna, MIA: Marcell Ozuna is 14-for-33 against Julio Teheran lifetime.

J.D. Martinez, DET: Tigers stack.

Adam Eaton, CWS: Red-hot with a 1.103 OPS over his last ten games.
