Pistons likely to fill empty roster spot with third point guard

Augustin and Dinwiddie aren’t great defensive point guards, but that wasn’t a strength for Jennings either, so the question will be if they can keep Detroit’s offense playing as well as it did in the 14-3 surge after Christmas.

No matter which way Van Gundy decides to go, Pistons fans should expect to see a new face on the bench as soon as Tuesday.
