Despite returning to practice for three consecutive days, Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson is again inactive for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons in London, England (9:30 a.m. on FOX).
It will be the third straight game that Johnson misses because of a sprained right ankle.
With the Lions having a bye week after returning from overseas, Johnson will have had a full month of rest and rehab before Detroit plays again on November 9 at home against Miami.
The Lions’ offense also will be without running back Reggie Bush (ankle), offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle (concussion) and the team’s top three tight ends — Brandon Pettigrew (foot), Eric Ebron (hamstring) and Joseph Fauria (ankle).
A third straight victory for the Lions would leave them at 6-2 at the halfway point of the season and assured of at least a tie for first place in the NFC North.
