Bruins were tired of losing

With the score tied at 7, the Oregon State Beavers took the second-half kickoff and drove 80 yards in nine plays. It was quick – they took not a single step backward.

The Beavers blasted their way down the field and into the end zone, helped along the way by a questionable personal foul on freshman linebacker Jordan Zumwalt.

To this point, that had been the Bruins; this season, last season, the season before that. Far too often when they got even or got a lead, they would give ground.
