Rain prevents 1st session of West Indies test against India

GROS INLET, St. Lucia (AP) Rain washed out the entire morning session on the third day of the third test between West Indies and India on Thursday.

The forecast did not look promising for the rest of the day, with West Indies waiting to continue its second innings. The hosts are on 107-1, trailing India by 246 runs, with Kraigg Braithwaite on 53 and Darren Bravo on 18.

India was bowled out for 353 in its first innings following a lower order collapse. Wriddhiman Saha (104) and Ravichandran Ashwin (118) helped the tourists recover from a poor start.

India leads the four match series 1-0.
