Impact Griffin missed his first game of the season in Week 6 against Western Michigan. He's been a staple of this backfield, averaging 8.8 carries per game this season and tallying 165 yards and one touchdown. Griffin will now look to return for Week 7 against Kent State, but if he's unavailable, expect Brandon Hood to be the lead back in his stead.

Jacquon Gibson - 70 yards in tough loss Gibson six catches for 70 yards during Saturday's 21-3 defeat against Western Michigan.
Impact The Minutemen were unable to get much going offensively in the tough loss, but Gibson was one of the only bright spots in the team's efforts. The 5-foot-11 wide receiver has been riddled by some mediocre games in the recent weeks, so the 70-yard performance was a move in the right direction. He'll aim to stay involved at Kent State this upcoming Saturday.

AJ Hairston - Struggles in role Hairston completed 11 of 18 passes for 131 yards and one interception during Saturday's 21-3 defeat to Western Michigan.
Impact Hairston didn't start the game against the Broncos, but he got in during the third quarter. Unfortunately, the 6-foot-3 quarterback's output was not much better, if not worse, than Brandon Rose who was sidelined. It's unknown how the Minutemen will operate their quarterback role moving forward.

Impact The banged up quarterback got the start in his return to the field, but he was eventually sidelined for quarterback AJ Hairston in the third quarter. Rose's inefficiency was not matched by much better play from Hairston, so it's unknown how the team will operate the quarterback position moving forward.

Impact McConnachie was quiet in the blowout loss, but he at least was able to play as he entered the game with a questionable tag. The starting wide receiver has been a non-factor in the Minutemen's offense so far this season. He'll aim to get more looks against Western Michigan this upcoming Saturday.

Impact McConnachie, who missed the Week 3 trip to Iowa with an undisclosed injury, is still injured and at risk of missing Saturday's contest. He caught four passes (on seven targets) for 31 yards across the first two weeks, so is not set for a big workload against the Tigers even if he's healthy.

Impact Hairston will make the start against Missouri on Saturday, marking his first start of the season. The 6-foot-3 quarterback will start in place of Brandon Rose, who has been working through an undisclosed injury. Hairston has appeared in two games for the Minutemen this season, completing seven of 12 passes for 84 scoreless yards.
