USC’s already strong National Signing Day got even stronger as four-star defensive lineman Connor Murphy announced his commitment to the Trojans.

Murphy, who is the younger brother of former Stanford standout Trent Murphy, chose USC on Wednesday over Michigan, ASU and others.

Murphy is ranked as the No. 18 defensive end in the 2016 class and the No. 255 overall player, per 247 Sports.

USC closed Murphy despite a strong push from Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh. In fact, Harbaugh and Murphy had a "Netflix and chill" session in January.
