Top Texas RB Brandon Stephens commits to UCLA
Stanford’s loss became UCLA’s gain on National Signing Day.
A one-time commitment to the Cardinal, 2016 running back Brandon Stephens has opted to sign with Jim Mora and the UCLA Bruins.
Hailing from Texas, the 6’1" running back is a supremely talented player. Although he has a taller and slim frame, Stephens can make people miss in space with his surprising lateral agility.

He’s also a patient one-cut-and-go type of runner — which fits into what new offensive coordinator Kennedy Polamalu looks for in a running back.
UCLA did well here to luck out with such a talent so close to signing day. Stephens reneged on his pledge less than two weeks ago — booking a visit to Westwood shortly after.
With Paul Perkins leaving for the NFL, Stephens could impact the depth chart right away.
