UCLA Football: Bruins Open As Favorites Against Arizona

The UCLA Football team comes into Saturday’s game against Arizona as favorites as VegasInsider.com has them opening at -12.

After two tough losses, the UCLA Football team is looking at a 2-2 record heading into their second conference game. The Bruins may be a little down right now, but they are not out.

There is still a long way to go until the end of the season and the Bruins need to take one game at a time. That begins with their next opponent the Arizona Wildcats.

VegasInsider.com still believes the Bruins have some fight in them and could push Arizona around as they have the Bruins as 12-point favorites (-12).

Last week, UCLA lost in dramatic fashion to Stanford as they allowed the Cardinal’s only touchdown — to that point — in the last 24 seconds of the game. What was 13-9 in UCLA’s favor, quickly became 16-13 which became 22-13.

Josh Rosen was hit on the final play of UCLA’s last drive with time expiring. He fumbled. Stanford runs it back for a touchdown. Stanford fans cheered. ULCA fans sighed. It was harsh. But we move on.

In the eyes of Las Vegas, the Bruins are still a team that will give teams trouble with a nice amount of points against a worthy Pac-12 foe.

The Wildcats come into this contest after a heart breaker of their own. Against Washington, the Wildcats did the unthinkable and scored 14 in the 4th quarter to send the game into overtime. The Wildcats lost by a touchdown in OT.

So with two teams reeling from Week 4 letdowns, it should be a battle in the Arroyo Seco. Giving UCLA 12 points, of course.
