University issued the following news

release:

Senior defensive back Tillman Stevens (Baytown, Texas/Sterling

HS) from the Eastern New Mexico

University

football team has been selected at

the D2Football.com Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding

performance in the Greyhounds’ 49-31 victory against

University of Central Oklahoma, last

Saturday.

He registered a career-high three interceptions along with 10

tackles and two passes broken up. In the fourth quarter, he sealed

the game by returning an interception 62 yards for a score. For the

game, Stevens registered 81 yards on interception returns. Stevens

has intercepted five passes in the last two games.

Currently, Stevens is tied for the national lead, with six

interceptions (1.0/game) and is tied for sixth in tackles

(11.5/game).

football team will continue their

Lone Star Conference North Division schedule, on Saturday, when

they visit East Central. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. MST. For
