Referee gets clocked during Texas-Oklahoma game
College football rivalry games always feature hard hits. Usually, though, it’s the players both doing and receiving the hitting.
Saturday, during Texas vs. Oklahoma, one of the referees got clocked near the end of the second quarter during a little extracurricular activity between a Longhorns wide receiver and a Sooners defensive back. He was pretty shaken up after the play, too. See above.
Luckily, he eventually got up and stayed in the game — and appeared to stay out of harm’s way the rest of the way.
