That quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, has turned out to be pretty good in the NFL, too.
Bedford said of Goff: "This is Aaron Rodgers. He's the real deal. This young man is exceptional."
Goff could well become first quarterback taken in the 2015 NFL draft. Bedford hopes his defense doesn’t help inflate Goff’s stats, but that’s going to take a supreme effort by the Texas defense. The unit allowed less accomplished Notre Dame quarterback Malik Zaire to complete 19-of-22 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns without an interception two weeks ago.
Goff could double that number of pass attempts. If he doubles the completions, yards and touchdowns, it’s going to be a long night for the Longhorns.
