Texas A&M gets bad news on Trevor Knight's shoulder injury

Texas A&M took a major hit last Saturday. Not only did the Aggies lose at Mississippi State, but they also lost starting QB Trevor Knight to a shoulder injury for the rest of the regular season. It's unclear if Knight will be able to return for the bowl game.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound grad transfer from Oklahoma has been a terrific addition for the Aggies, providing a big spark to the running game but also adding some strong leadership to a locker room that had been lacking it.

On the season Knight has a 13-6 TD-INT ratio and has also run for 583 more yards and 10 TDs. He will be replaced by Jake Hubenak, a junior who started the Aggies' bowl loss to Louisville last winter. He went 11-of-17 for 222 yards, two TDs and one INT in the 35-28 loss to MSU.

Another possible option for the Aggies, who face Ole Miss this weekend, is Nick Starkel, a freshman the A&M staff is very high on.
