Top JUCO DT Alexis Johnson officially a member of Tennessee

Tennessee added yet another talented defensive tackle to its roster Wednesday with the official signing of junior college lineman Alexis Johnson. Johnson is rated as a consensus four-star prospect by the major recruiting services.

While National Signing day is still months away, junior college players could sign scholarship papers starting Wednesday, solidifying their place on 2016 rosters around the country. Head coach Butch Jones was among the first to officially welcome Johnson into the Vol family. 

Johnson has two years of eligibility remaining and will help to add talent and depth to a Tennessee defensive line still attempting to build up both areas to compete on the level of the best defensive lines in the league and across the nation.
