Walmart isn’t necessarily known for the authenticity of its collegiate licensed products, many of which don’t particularly resemble the real things.
Still, a knock-off jersey is one thing; one that includes the logo of an entirely different team (a division rival, no less) on it is quite another.
Check out the tweet below from Mississippi State fan site Maroon & White Football of a jersey sold by Walmart and manufactured by Russell Athletic with a slight … um … inaccuracy (notice the jersey’s left sleeve).
Given the passionate nature of SEC fandom, it’s safe to assume that fans of both schools are sufficiently disgusted after seeing this abomination. As a producer of college apparel, Russell Athletic should be well aware that Bulldogs and Aggies don’t mix.
