SMU vs Baylor live stream: Watch Mustangs vs Bears online

Here’s how you can watch Saturday’s SMU vs Baylor live stream from McLane Stadium online.

Baylor suffered through a tumultuous offseason with domestic issues concerning multiple players and the firing of head coach Art Briles. Looking for a new start, the same dominant Baylor offense surfaced to open the season, stomping Northwestern State 55-7.

The Bears’ offense was run-heavy, surprisingly, as Seth Russell passed for just 163 yards and four touchdowns on 14-of-20 completions. Shock Linwood led the rushing attack with 97 yards on nine carries while Terence Williams had 11 carries for 72 yards and two touchdowns.

KD Cannon will hope to adequately replace Corey Coleman in the receiving corps. The junior wide out has plenty of potential and led the team with five catches for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Could a potential quarterback controversy hurt the Mustangs’ chances in this one? Sure, SMU started the season with a win and 300 yards passing, but Matt Davis, the starter, was just 8-of-17 with 155 yards, two touchdowns and a pick. His backup, freshman Ben Hicks came in for an injured Davis and completed 55 percent of his throws for 145 yards and a score.

If Davis can’t go this Saturday, that might end up playing into the Mustangs’ favor. Courtland Sutton has become quite a deep-threat, catching four passes, but turning that into 162 yards and three touchdowns in week one — efficient, to say the least. The run game finished with 272 yards as well.
