CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Tyree Robinson returned an interception 42 yards for a score, JJ Jerman kicked a career-high four field goals, and East Tennessee State beat The Citadel 26-23 on Saturday for the program's best six-game start since going 8-1 in 1996.

Tied at 16 in the fourth quarter, the Buccaneers converted two third downs before Jerman's fourth field goal, a go-ahead 36-yarder that tied ETSU's single-game record for field goals.

Robinson picked off Jordan Black's pass on fourth-and-5 on the Bulldogs' next drive and returned it for the score, sealing the win. It was Robinson's second interception of the game and his third pick in his last two games.

Jerman also kicked field goals of 46, 40 and 31 yards.
