The six-foot-five 220-pound Lambert recently lost his starting job at Virginia to Matt Johns and after graduating early, is looking for another opportunity to continue his career.

Lambert completed 59 percent of his passes last season while throwing for 1,632 yards, 10 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
While the move does not necessarily condemn the quarterbacks currently on Georgia's roster, the Bulldogs' attempts to add transfer quarterbacks this offseason is somewhat troubling for a team most assume will be the favorite in the SEC East this season.
Head coach Mark Richt has said he would "always feel better with four or five" scholarship quarterbacks. So this move could be purely to provide depth at a critical position.
Lambert has graduated from UVA and would be immediately eligible to play for any team he transfers to and has two years remaining to play.
