Oregon’s young secondary is in good hands

The Oregon Ducks feel so good about their young defensive backs that they've sent Charles Nelson to the offensive side of the ball. This comes after an entire summer of speculation that Nelson would play on both sides of the ball due to the lack of depth in the secondary.

Oregon defensive backs coach John Neal has been impressed with the work of true freshman Ugo Amadi and sophomore Arrion Springs.

"All of a sudden the kid is playing like he played a million snaps last year," Neal said of Springs, according to Tyson Alger of The Oregonian. "I'm really proud of him."

Neal added that sophomore Chris Seisay, who started in place of Ifo Ekpre-Olomu in the final two games of the 2014 season, is going to "surprise some people" this season.
