Oregon hit with devastating injuries, loses two key players likely for season

Oregon got some rough news Monday. The Ducks learned they've lost WR Devon Allen for the season with a knee injury and that star LT Tyrell Crosby is "likely done" for the season with a foot injury, a source told FOX Sports.

Allen, who made the US Olympic team and competed in Brazil as a hurdler this summer, tore up his other knee two years ago in the Ducks' Rose Bowl win over FSU. He was not only one of Oregon's most dynamic weapons but also one of its most consistent WRs, according to coaches.

Crosby, a junior, is the team's most gifted lineman and does have a redshirt year to use if he can't play the rest of 2016.

247sports was first to report the Allen news and CSN was first on Crosby's injury.

The Ducks do have some good news. Star RB Royce Freeman is considered “day to day” with the leg injury that knocked him out of last weekend’s loss to Nebraska. Freeman has 325 yards on 37 carries this season, averaging almost nine yards per carry.
