Ducks won’t release info on status of WR Darren Carrington
Wide receiver Darren Carrington could find the field for the first time this season after receiving a half-season ban from the NCAA due to a failed drug test before the 2015 CFP national title game.
However, offensive coordinator Scott Frost was asked by reporters on Monday if Carrington would be available for the game against Washington State.
“I have no idea,” Frost said.
Carrington was also recently issued a ticket for having an open container of alcohol. Head coach Mark Helfrich did not offer insight on how that issue would be handled, other than to say the Ducks are dealing with it.
“That will be handled internally,” Helfrich said.
Prior to the suspension, Carrington had been wildly productive in the 2014 Pac-12 title game (126 yards, 1 TD) and the 2015 Rose Bowl (165 yards, 2 TD's).
