In what was likely his last regular season game of his Ole Miss career, defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche was a one-man wrecking ball for the Rebels in the Egg Bowl. Making his presence a constant in the Bulldog backfield was key in the Rebs 38-27 victory Saturday.

For his outstanding individual effort, Nkemdiche has been named as the SEC’s Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week:

Via the SEC’s Week 13 Players of the Week statement:

• Led a swarming Ole Miss defense in the 38-27 Egg Bowl victory at Mississippi State.

• Posted a team-high 1.5 sacks and four tackles.

• The Landshark defense sacked MSU QB Dak Prescott seven times, a season high for the Rebel.

• Helped hold the Bulldog offense approximately 50 yards below their season average.
