When sophomore Ohio State QB Cardale Jones took over for injured J.T. Barrett in late November, many people had their doubts.

With the Big Ten title game quickly approaching the following week, how would the Buckeyes get by with a quarterback who had never before started a college game?

So far, the answer has been: Just fine.

Jones not only led the Buckeyes to a 59-0 drubbing of Wisconsin for the conference title, but on Thursday night helped OSU upset Alabama 42-35 in the Sugar Bowl to reach the national championship game.

By the following morning, Jones seemingly had reflected on all that’s happened over the past month, sending out this tweet:

Assuming Jones, Barrett and two-time Big Ten MVP Braxton Miller are all on campus next season, the competition for the 2015 starting job should be fun.
