No decision expected this week on potential charges in Winston case

State Attorney Willie Meggs says there is “not a lot” of work left to do in the Jameis Winston sexual assault investigation, but that an announcement on whether the Florida State quarterback will be charged won’t happen this week.

Winston, the Heisman Trophy candidate, is expected to start at quarterback Saturday in FSU’s game at Florida. The investigation appears likely to conclude next week.

Meggs declined to discuss the nature of evidence he has collected this week.

“When we get done, the whole world will know,” Meggs told FOX Sports.
