WHAT’S AT STAKE?
The Sun Devils look to bounce back from a home loss to Colorado last week and get back into the race in the Pac-12 South. Cal is off to its best start since 2015 and is ranked in the top 15 for the first time since 2009. The Golden Bears are looking to avoid any letdown before next week’s showdown at No. 13 Oregon.
Arizona State RB Eno Benjamin vs. Cal LB Evan Weaver. Benjamin is one of the most dynamic backs in the conference after rushing for 1,642 yards last season. He hasn’t been as effective this season with just 292 yards through four games but did rush for two TDs last week against Colorado. Weaver has been the leader of the Cal defense, tying a school record with 22 tackles last week, including a stop at the 1-yard line on the final play to seal a win at Mississippi. Weaver leads the nation with 10 solo tackles and 15.8 total tackles per game.
