Nevada's head coaching search is heating up, a source told FOX Sports on Monday night.

Vanderbilt offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig, Arizona State passing game coordinator Jay Norvell and Eastern Washington head coach Beau Baldwin are all in the mix.

Baldwin, who has Eastern Washington at 11-1 and in the FCS playoffs, interviewed Monday.

The 53-year-old Norvell, a seasoned offensive coach with many connections around the country, has generated some interest and is set to interview later this week, the source said.

Ludwig was expected to meet with Nevada brass on Tuesday. Ludwig, 52, is a Utah native and is well-regarded by former Nevada coach Chris Ault.

The school is hoping to have its coach in place by Friday.
