Michigan State recruiting is getting a big visit from four-star USC defensive end commit Hunter Echols.

According to Luke Srodulski of Landof10.com, Echols will be visiting Michigan State in the upcoming weeks. He has said that he was waiting for this offer from Michigan State and it’s one that intrigues him since he believes he could fit well into the defensive scheme.

With the defensive line struggling the way it is this season, early playing time is a serious possibility if Echols decides to flip from the Trojans to the Spartans. He sees that struggle this season as an opportunity to come in and change the outlook on defense.

Echols received his offer from Michigan State on Nov. 1, his birthday, and right away he knew that he wanted to take a trip to East Lansing. He plans to take his first official visit to Michigan State on Nov. 19 for the Ohio State game.

The interest definitely seems mutual and Echols has said he can see himself playing for Michigan State in a big rivalry game against Michigan. This would be a huge pull as he ranks as the No. 120 overall prospect and ninth-best weak-side defensive end in the 2017 class.
