Maryland backfield depth not a concern despite transfers
Getting more physical and improving one of the Big Ten's worst running game are among the areas of emphasis this offseason at Maryland, so losing two running backs to transfer after spring is a big blow to that effort, right?
Maybe not so much.
Testudo Times points out four solid options still remain, a group headlined by veterans Wes Brown and Brandon Ross. Those two combined for 773 yards rushing last season and figure to be pushed for playing time by redshirt freshman Ty Johnson and junior Joe Riddle.
