LSU loses another elite member of their 2014 recruiting class

The LSU Tigers suffered another loss to their highly ranked 2014 recruiting class Wednesday as Travonte Valentine finds himself no longer a member of the football program, according to LSU’s SID:

Valentine joins highly touted linebacker Clifton Garrett and defensive lineman Trey Lealaimatafao as members of the 2014 Tiger class to only survive one season on the team’s roster. is reporting that Valentine "failed multiple drug tests and missed an excessive amount of class time after enrolling last fall." The report did not mention if these actions resulted in his departure but they could have likely factored in the decision to move on from the Miami area player.
