What?! Joe Montana’s son spikes ball on fourth-and-1 for Tulane

Playing quarterback carries with it plenty of pressure.

Playing quarterback and being Joe Montana’s son? Now, those are tough shoes to fill.

With starting QB Tanner Lee nursing a shoulder injury, senior Nick Montana got the start for Tulane Saturday vs. UCF.

At the end of the first half, though, he made a play that was very un-Montana-like.

Apparently losing track of downs, he spiked the ball on a fourth-and-1 within field-goal range, blowing any chance of the Green Wave putting points up on the board.

Say it ain’t so, son of Joe.
