Jacksonville runs away from Edward Waters in second half
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Rylan Wells threw for 187 yards and two scores and added 50 yards rushing to help Jacksonville run away from NAIA Edward Waters 41-7 on Saturday night.
Prince Gray had 113 yards receiving and two touchdown catches, including a 78-yard strike in the third quarter to put the game away. Ulysses Bryant added 90 yards and a score on the ground for the Dolphins (1-1) who racked up 445 yards of offense while holding the Tigers to just 283.
Jacksonville's Austin Yeloushan had a fumble recovery return for a TD early in the second, but the Dolphins led by only six points, 13-7, at the half. They put the game away in the third however, outscoring Edward Waters 28-0.
Daniel Wright had 49 yards rushing and scored the only touchdown for Edward Waters, a 7-yard run in the first quarter.
