Former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch is set to join Jim Harbaugh’s staff at Michigan, a source told FOX Sports Thursday. The 38-year-old Fisch is expected to become the Wolverines’ new passing-game coordinator and will also coach QBs and wide receivers.

Fisch will return to the college game after his two seasons with the Jags. Before that, the New Jersey native spent the two prior seasons (2011-12) at the University of Miami as offensive coordinator/QBs coach. In 2012, the Hurricanes scored more than 40 points on six occasions, and averaged 31 points per game and 440 yards per game. Under Fisch, the ‘Canes ranked No. 16 in the nation in yards per play (6.46) and ranked No. 25 in passing.

This season, Michigan ranked No. 112 in passing and the Wolverines were No. 115 in total offense.
