Holy Cross scores 17 of the last 20, beats Fordham 17-13

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Geoff Wade threw for 135 yards and two touchdowns and Holy Cross scored 17 of the last 20 points for a 17-13 win over Fordham on Saturday.

Holy Cross called its last timeout with four seconds left to set up its defense with Fordham on the 29. Tim DeMorat was pressured, scrambled toward the right and gave his team a chance with a throw to the end zone but it was deflected to the ground.

Derek Mountain and Martin Dorsey each made a touchdown catch for Holy Cross (4-6, 3-2 Patriot League). First-year head coach Bob Chesney has won three straight games. Senior Ryan Brady recovered two fumbles on Senior Day.

Isaiah Searight had 89 receiving yards and a touchdown for Fordham (1-9, 1-4). Austin Longi added 79 yards on nine grabs.
