Charles was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and at a minimum speed. His bond was set at a combined $1,750 and he was released within an hour.
The junior declared his intention to enter next month’s 2012 draft in January after recording career-high numbers last year, with 45 passes for 574 yards and five touchdowns, and being named to the All-SEC first-team.
Charles was rated as an outstanding performer at last month’s NFL Scouting Combine, though he decided against running in Indianapolis having reportedly clocked within 4.7-4.88 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the Georgia Pro Day.
