Return of the king: Herschel Walker named Honorary Captain for Alabama game

The biggest game of the season has attracted the biggest name in Bulldog history.

Arguably the greatest player in the history of Georgia football, Herschel Walker will be on hand this weekend as the Bulldogs look to stake their claim as a legitimate national title contender against SEC juggernaut Alabama.

There has been much discussion recently on who is the better player, LSU’s Leonard Fournette or the 1982 Heisman Trophy winner. Until Fournette captures his own Heisman and brings home a national title to LSU, Walker’s resume is clearly the better of the two.

Georgia has their own talented back playing this season in Nick Chubb, who will be attempting to tie Walker’s school-record of 13 consecutive games with at least 100 rushing yards this weekend.

The question is, will Walker give the No. 8 Bulldogs and Chubb any extra motivation as they go up against No. 13 Alabama Saturday?
