Soggy note: Georgia band not taking the field due to the weather

Expect the Bulldog band to stick to the stands.

The biggest matchup of the day in the SEC pitted East frontrunner Georgia against West powerhouse Alabama in a game that had major playoff implications for both teams. One obstacle both teams they had to overcome? The weather. 

In fact, the forecast called for 100 percent chance of heavy rain and the field was expected to be so bad, Georgia’s band decided not to take the field during the game:

The weather may have a role in the outcome, but at least the band did its part to ensure the players had the best surface possible to play on.
