Georgetown 52, Marist 28

Scott Darby threw for four touchdowns and rushed for another

score, and the Georgetown defense played strong in a 52-28 win over

Marist on Saturday.

Brandon Durham rushed for 103 yards on eight carries and scored

on a 67-yard touchdown for the Hoyas (3-1), whose 52-point output

is the most by a Georgetown team since 1998. Nick Campanella

finished with 85 yards rushing on 18 carries.

The Hoyas defense was opportunistic, forcing four turnovers that

included three interceptions.

Darby, who completed 18 of 22 passes, threw for 211 yards and

was intercepted once. He connected with Max Waizenegger on a

39-yard touchdown and the quarterback scored on a 13-yard run to

give Georgetown a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

From there, the Hoyas didn’t have much trouble with the Red

Foxes (1-3), who lost their third straight game.

Darby also had touchdown throws of 12, 19 and 21 yards.
