Former Duke Football Player Earns Midseason NFL All-Pro Honors

Former Blue Devil Jamison Crowder was an NFL All-Pro Team selection for special teams return specialist in the Sports Illustrated midseason awards list.

Washington Redskins wide receiver and former Duke Blue Devil Jamison Crowder was recently named to the Sports Illustrated 2016 NFL Midseason All Pro Team as the top return specialist.

Crowder has excelled as a weapon on special teams this season returning 12 punts for 230 yards (19.17 ypr) and one touchdown. He currently leads the NFL in punt return average and returned the first punt for a TD for the Washington Redskins since 2008. The former Blue Devil is also excelling at wide receiver compiling 40 catches for 498 yards and four touchdowns.

Jamison Crowder had a historic career with Duke Football earning numerous All-ACC and All-America accolades. For his college career he caught 283 passes for 3,641 yards and 23 touchdowns and returned 65 punts for 869 yards and four TDs. Crowder was selected in the 4th-round of the 2015 NFL Draft and had a record-breaking rookie year with the Redskins last season is on pace to put up even better numbers this season.

The Redskins are off this weekend with a bye week, and will return to action next week to take on the Minnesota Vikings. Congrats to former Blue Devil Jamison Crowder on making the Midseason NFL All-Pro Team and we hope to see him on the real thing at the end of the season.
