Source: Dismissed FSU QB Johnson to play at East Miss. CC this fall

Former FSU quarterback De’Andre Johnson has enrolled at East Mississippi Community College and will play this fall, a source told FOX Sports Friday.

Last month, the 19-year-old Johnson was booted from Florida State’s program after video surfaced of him striking a woman in a bar. Johnson is actually the second former ‘Noles QB to transfer to EMCC this year, following John Franklin III, who transferred in over the summer. One-time FSU QB Clint Trickett is EMCC’s new quarterbacks coach.

Johnson went on Good Morning America in July to talk about the incident. "There’s no explanation for that,” Johnson said. "I totally should have walked away. I’m sorry. If I could do it all over again, I would."

The Lions are reigning back-to-back national football champions andhave won three NJCAA titles over the past four years. They also took former four-star Va. Tech signee C.J. Reavis, a DB, earlier this month.

ESPN first reported the news of Johnson’s transfer.
