Florida DL Bullard added to Bednarik Award Watch list

Bullard leads the Gators in both sacks and tackles for loss

Senior defensive end Jonathan Bullard has been added to the 2015 Chuck Bednarik Award Watch list for a stellar start to the 2015 campaign. The award recognizes the top defensive player in college football.

Florida ranks No. 16 nationally in total defense, largely due to the efforts up front from the Shelby, North Carolina native. 

Bullard leads the Gators in both sacks (4.5) and tackles for loss (9.5) through the first six games. He’s been both active and (at times) dominating with his athletic ability. Bullard will be in for a big test this weekend, as Florida travels to LSU. It’ll be an opportunity to enhance his resume even further. 

While a challenging matchup with stud running back Leonard Fournette awaits, Bullard doesn’t seem too concerned
