Flacco leads Towson over William & Mary 29-13

TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Tom Flacco had 109 yards rushing and threw for another 188 yards and a score to lead Towson past William & Mary 29-13 on Saturday night.

Kobe Young, Shane Simpson, and Yeedee Thaenrat each had touchdown runs for Towson (5-1, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association), which shut out William & Mary (2-4, 1-2) in the second half.

Flacco's 5-yard touchdown pass to Jabari Allen early in the fourth quarter stretched the Tigers' lead to 23-13. Thaenrat's 53-yard TD run capped a five-play, 80-yard drive late in the game.

Arman Jones ran for a 71-yard touchdown on a missed field goal attempt for William & Mary. Albert Funderburke bulled in from the 1 to end the first half to give the Tribe a 13-10 lead.

Trailing 23-13 early in the fourth quarter, William & Mary had three third-down conversions during a 16-play, 60-yard drive but Jake Johnston missed a 35-yard field goal.
