ESPN Experts Split on FSU Football Prediction For 2016 Season
Much like with other experts, FSU football is seen in some projections as heading to the playoff system again while others have the ‘Noles falling short.
There is a growing trend when it comes to college football predictions for the 2016 season: either the Seminoles are going to make it to the four team College Football Playoff system or they will end up falling just short and end up in a New Years Six bowl yet again.
The folks over at ESPN.com aren’t any different when it comes to those picks, as experts Mark Schlabach and Brett McMurphy were split with where they have FSU football bowling later this season.
For Schlabach, the Seminoles will find themselves playing in a stadium twice this season – but it will be Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens as the ‘Noles will end up in the Orange Bowl:
Capital One Orange Bowl
Hard Rock Stadium, Miami Gardens, Florida
Dec. 30, 8 p.m. (ESPN)
Schlabach: Florida State vs. Tennessee
McMurphy, however, sees the Seminoles getting back to the four team playoff system and heading out west to take on an old head coaching foe:
College Football Playoff at the Fiesta Bowl
University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, Arizona
Saturday, Dec. 31, TBD (ESPN)
McMurphy: Florida State vs. Ohio State
McMurphy would pick the Buckeyes to win the game and take on LSU for the national title, while Schlabach has Alabama taking on Michigan this coming January in Tampa.
