Former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand got his chance to address his peers Sunday in a commencement speech at Rutgers University.
LeGrand, who graduated with a degree in labor relations, got a standing ovation at the ceremony and spoke to students about overcoming adversity. LeGrand is paralyzed from the neck down after suffering a neck injury during a game in 2010.
"I’m moving my shoulders — I’m moving myself forward," LeGrand told the Class of 2014. "Don’t ever let someone tell you you can’t do something."
