The NFL has announced a change for Week 15. It exercised its flex option for primetime, jettisoning the Cincinnati BengalsSan Francisco 49ers matchup out of the "Sunday Night Football" slot and inserting Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles in its place.

It also means a couple of changes in the Sunday afternoon windows. Bengals-Niners goes to the 4:25 p.m. ET window on CBS. And in the 1 p.m. ET time slot, Buffalo at Washington moves from CBS to FOX.

Week 15 has its regular Thursday night game, Tampa Bay at St. Louis on NFL Network, a rare Saturday night game, Jets at Dallas also on NFL Network, seven early Sunday afternoon games and five, count ’em, five late afternoon games.

Here’s how the schedule looks now for Week 15. The games moved are in italic:

So this has been one of the busier flexes of the season. And looking at Week 16, Pittsburgh at Baltimore is in the primetime slot and that will most likely be flexed. Potential candidates to replace the game are Green Bay at Arizona (although Fox may fight to keep that in the 4:25 p.m. window), Giants at Vikings and Carolina at Atlanta.

Bengals-49ers no longer in prime time
